Community Resource Centre (CRC)

The Community Resource Centre (CRC) is the leading resource for Bow Valley residents at critical turning points. The CRC’s primary focus is on safe, affordable housing and family violence prevention through education, programming, events, resource management and crisis intervention. The work of the CRC assists clients in taking the next step forward in their lives.

ASSISTANCE for individuals and families experiencing abuse or violence

EMERGENCY access to the Bow Valley Women's Emergency Shelter

EDUCATION

Community group or employee information and training for recognizing and responding to intimate partner abuse;

School programs relating to relationship skills and intimate partner abuse;

COUNSELLING

for couples seeking to improve their relationship;

for individuals dealing with recovery from emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse;

men’s and women’s 10-week ‘Healthy Relationships’ groups

REFERRAL

For people at critical turning points, needing support and access to services;

For income support;

For low cost/no cost help with basic needs;

For child care providers and those requiring child care;

For landlord and tenant forms.

All services of the Community Resource Centre are confidential and free of charge.

Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm (closed from 12 pm – 1 pm)
Saturday, Sunday and after hours weekdays - CRC can be accessed through the Front Desk of the Banff Y Mountain Lodge
